Antonio Sant’Elia | Drawing for a power station, 1914

This image is part of the series of drawing made by Sant’Elia for “la Città Nuova”: a New City dreamed by the futurists and inspired by both the new amercan cities and the movement of the Viennese Secession.

This particular drawing portrays a power station, and was the first inspiration for the constrution of the monument to the fallen of the WWI in Como, built by the two Terragni brothers.
